NURSERY
We welcome infants and toddlers and their parents to the Nursery every Sunday morning. The Nursery is open prior to and immediately following Sunday services in room 108 on the first floor, alley side of the center building.
During June and July childcare on Sunday moves from Room 108 to Room 160.
(The same floor, just a little bit further down the hall!)
The Nursery provides a safe and warm environment for our youngest children so that parents are free to attend services and adult education programs in the church. The Nursery is filled with age-appropriate toys as well as staffed by paid childcare employees all of whom have had significant childcare experience and have completed our child protection training, CPR, and first aid certifications that are mandatory for our caregivers. In addition, parent volunteers assist in the Nursery when additional help is needed.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
During the program year (September through May), we offer Church School classes to teach our children from preschool through young adult ages important stories of the Bible, lessons of faith, and our life together. Classes are held every Sunday except the 1st Sunday of the month, when children and youth are encouraged to attend worship with their families and celebrate communion and major holidays such as Easter. We celebrate communion with everyone in the church on the first Sunday of the month to teach the importance of worshipping together as a faith community.
On Church School Sundays, children and youth are encouraged to attend the worship service with their families and then go to their classes after the Time with Children portion of the service.
Children are welcome to join a Sunday School class any time during the program year. For all children, please fill out a Sunday School Registration Form either at the start of the program or the first Sunday your child attends class so that we have updated information for all our children. You may request a registration form from a Sunday School teacher as well. Parents pick up preschool children in their classroom after the service; others will meet their children in Chadsey Hall.
