Pandemic Relief Fund
The Session has created a Pandemic Relief Fund so members of the congregation can support the Capital Area Food Bank and Friendship Place as well future Pandemic-related needs identified by the Session. To contribute, click on GIVE and designate COVID in the “Other” box or send a check to the church.
HELP OUR NEW NEIGHBORS AT THE BROOKS
The Brooks is DC’s newly-opened family homeless shelter, a 50-unit short-term housing facility near McLean Gardens. Friendship Place has been contracted to provide support services to help the families transition from The Brooks into stable housing. Since the families must shelter in place due to the pandemic, CCPC has created a toy drive. The families also need school supplies, toiletries, diapers and other basics.
Toy Drive
CCPC has created a partnership with Child’s Play, a locally owned store, to offer toys and educational games for the children staying at the Brooks. If you shop online, by phone or in person at Child’s Play through The Brooks’ wish list, they will deliver your purchases to the shelter.
Toiletries, Diapers, Other Supplies
Purchase items needed by The Brooks’ families through the Amazon wish list created by Friendship Place.
